Jeypore August 13: Third Induction meeting of MSSRF - IGNOU Community College in Pulbeda village of Jeypore town was held on Friday. Chief Guest Dr. K.U. K. Nampoothiri, Regional Director M.S Swaminathan Research Foundation & Biju Patnaik Medicinal Plants Garden and Research center said that,
the main aim of establishing the college in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Open University, is to achieve quality education for students of Adivasi regions in Koraput district. He explained about college's main objectives and informed that the college is offering normal education as well as vocational education to the students.

Dr. Antaryami Rath, Regional Director IGNOU, Koraput advised students to utilize the available resources. Speaking on the occasion he told, there are total 120 students studying in the college out of which 43 are pursuing professional courses like computers, water diversion and management etc. Our main aim is to train students in such a way that they should stand on their own feet and this college is going to be among the top institutes in the country within few years, he added. 22 out of 30 students who were sent by Adivasi Development Society of Malkangiri district studied as boarders in college hostel, are presently pursuing higher studies after passing in their respective courses, he told. Chief Guest distributed certificates to the students who have passed their exams. Doctor Jagadish Sagar, Researcher Koraput Adivasi Research Center, Mr.Viswanath Panda and Mr P.C.Nayak also spoke, among others.
