Villagers angry over illegal transportation of cattle

Borigumma August 20: A truck illegally carrying cattle from Kaliyaguda of Borigumma block in Koraput district to the cow slaughterhouses in Andhra Pradesh has been caught and handed over to police by the people of Chatarla village on Friday.
The truck driven by Mr Abdul Kalam, loaded with buffaloes which are in very bad shape and tied with ropes stopped by the angry villagers.

The owner of the truck was identified as Mr Rahamtulla of Nowrangpur. The buffaloes are in a very pathetic condition and some buffaloes found with severe injuries. As soon as the news broke out,  Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajarang Dal members reached the spot and demanded stern action against the illegal cattle traffickers. Police has registered a case and seized the truck.
