Engineers play crucial role in Nation building - D.I.G Soumendra Priyadarshi

Jeypore. September 16: Engineers play an important role in the development of the nation said D.I.G of Police South West Odisha, Mr Soumendra Priyadarshi.
He was speaking on the topic "Role of engineers in emergency situations"  here on Thursday night in a function organised by the Koraput District Engineers Service Association to commemorate the 151th birth anniversary of famous engineer, Bharat Ratna, Dr.Sir Mokshagundam Vishweshwaraiah. DIG Mr.Priyadarshi, who was the chief guest, described engineers as the backbone of a country's development and urged engineers to act wisely during emergency situations like earthquakes,tsunamis, floods and other natural calamities to help the society and nation while performing their duties. He advised them to follow the foot steps of Dr.M.Vishweshwaraiah for developing the nation. 

Speaking on the occasion Superintend of Police, Nowrangpur Mr Neethi Shekar, who was the honorable guest, said the role of engineers in building infrastructure like bridges, roads, highways, buildings and projects are very crucial and unique. He urged engineers to dedicate themselves to the development of the society. The meeting was chaired by R&B Executive Engineer, Jeypore, Mr Bimal Chandra Das. Kolab Project Chief Engineer Mr. Gopal Krishna Panigrahi also spoke among others. Retired engineers Mr.Dasarathi Nanda, Mr.Radha Nath Patra, Mr.Bhajan Singh, P.Laxman Swain, Mr.J.N.K.Rao, Mr.Sudhansahu Shekar Tripathi. Mr.P.B.Raju, Mr.Prasanna Kumar Sabat, Mr..Sarat Chandra Sahu and Mr. Abhimanyu Mahanty were felicitated on the occasion of the Engineers Day.
