Sukharam Majhi selected for the National Cricket Team for Blind

Jeypore October 12: 16 year old Sukharam Majhi, a 10th class student of Koraput Blind School  has made it to the national cricket team for the blind.

It was a dream comes true for me said an elated Sukharam of  Sukriguda village under Umiri Panchayat of Koraput district. Sukhram who is an allrounder, will be travelling with the Indian team to Pakistan to play T-20 and ODIs in the month of November before taking part in the World Cup, consisting seven countries, in England in February 2012. He has made this district and the state feel proud said the District Collector Koraput, Mr.Sachin Rama Chandra Yadav. The Collecter praised Sukharam Majhi and his coach. Mr.Chandra Shekar Patnaik and assured all assistance to the school to create more Sukharams in future.
