SBI Officers Association demands 10 lakh insurance in Naxal effected areas

Jeypore.November.7: Mr. Ashok Kumar Bishoyi the Regional Manager of State Bank of Inida, Koraput region, advised the SBI officers association members, that before submitting the demands, they should think about their legitimate duties and work hard for the prosperity of bank.
He attended as Chief Guest in the SBI Officers Association Koraput Regional Committee General body meeting held at Pratap Narayan Singh Deo Aditorium, Jeypore on Sunday.

Mr. Somanath Mishra, the Regional General Secretary put forth their demands along with his secretary report, stating that the general body of the SBI Officers association Koraput Regional Committee urge the Circle Association to demand for Cash compensation or allowances and also Insurance coverage of minimum Rs.10 lacs for all employees working in Naxal effected areas as provided to the state and central government employees. And he said that the Association demanding project area allowances for all the employees of the new branches opened in the Project area, and also demanded for hill and fuel allowances for all the employees of Koraput, Nowrangpur and Malkangiri districts as the approach to these districts are above 1000 Meters above sea level, he said.

Further he stated that, the branches situated in Naxal infested area like Balda, Boipriguda, Machkhund, Kumbariput, Narayanapatna, Pottangi, Raigarh ,Chitrakonda, Kalimela, Malkanagiri, Orkel, Pangam, Agulo, Hanumantpur, Gudari, Dhepaduda, are to be shifted. Some of the bank employees from these branches are getting threatening calls from unknown persons. The employees of these branches are haunted by the memories of the previous incidents occured in Chitrakonda, Machkund, Pangam and living with constant fear and physiological pressure.

The association also demanding to declare those centres where Naxals threat from local insurgents or Peoples War Group as difficult centres. The association also urged to review of acute staff shortage, to reduce the work load on the current staff and also demanded for Providing security guards to all the branches and ATMs due to Maoist activities in the vicinity and to check the fraudulent ATM transactions.
